John is experienced in operational management and training/mentoring for a variety of hospitality specialties. Initially focused on a culinary career including participation in the VICA Culinary Olympics, John's career path changed when he entered the Cornell University Hotel School's business degree program which was followed by various management positions with 5-Diamond-4-Star hotels/resorts and club environments from the Caribbean to Hawaii. He was also managing partner for a large on and off-premises catering venue in NJ for 11 years and general manager of the Saybrook Point Resort, Spa & Marina in CT for 7 years. John is a senior consultant with Certified Catering Consultants and contributor to trade magazines on a variety of subjects. When not consulting on projects, he is also a Professional Dog Trainer.
